Summer of 2024 has Arrived!

I just wanted to let you know that I will be taking the summer off again this year. On the 29th of June, I head out east for a week to visit with my daughter and the four grands. I didn’t get a chance last year to go, so am looking forward to this.

At the end of August, we will be heading out to the KOA in Barrie. We sold our trailer last year, so we have a cabin booked for three nights. 2 bedrooms, one with bunks for the Barrie grands, a washroom (yeah!) and kitchen, living room, porch etc. I believe all we have to bring is our bedsheets and food. I have to double-check on that one!

Speaking of our trailer we met up with the new owners while they were at Fanshawe Conservation Area. They are a great family. Some neat renovations that made sleeping so much more comfortable.

Our little Bella just turned three last weekend! So hard to believe how much time has passed. She is as cute and mischievous as ever. She tries to barter a stick for a cookie. Usually, we give in!

My husband and I have both had some health issues but are plugging along. We have lots of friends to help us out. This is especially true for when I head out East. We are both so grateful for all of this. Friends are so important and enrich our lives so much.

We have a wonderful man who cleans our home every month and a young lady who cuts our grass weekly. My tree guy is coming this week to get rid of a large dead branch and my smoke bush which has died.

So sad to see this bush in distress. For so many years cardinals have had their babies here. Because it is coming down, I have placed a wind chime, bright yellow balls, and bright dog toys. I did not want the cardinals to build again!

Enjoy your summer, as will we. Hold your friends and family close in your hearts and most of all treasure your friends.

See you in the Fall!

Sue
