What a difference a month makes! A month ago I was looking at so many losses in my life. Things have eased off considerably. There have been endings and yet new beginnings as well. Though our dog Kaylee is still greatly missed it is not such a gnawing ache that it was. Our house is so quiet now. River and Freckles barely bark and the kiddie gate is down. You never realize the influence one little dog has on the family unit.
We went with some friends of ours from Egypt to Port Stanley. We had a blast. It was a perfect summer day with lots of sun (I got burnt) and lots of swimming too. It was funny to watch everyone feeling our colder Lake Erie, rather than a warmer ocean that they were used to. They did get in finally and more than once too. It was wonderful to see the kids playing in the sand for hours with no electronic devices to be seen! Yummy home-made burgers then Mackie fries and Orangeade completed our feast.
I have been working on our gardens both front and back. We live in our back yard which is so peaceful. I did not have the inclination nor energy for it in the Spring. It is wonderful to see it at its best. Our 15 birdhouses mostly have birds in residence. I love to hear the baby peeps. Working in the soil and mulch really seems to connect me to the earth. Love this so much even when my back doth protest. That’s why I have a Chiropractor right!? Getting your hands into the soil is great therapy.
Yesterday my Granddaughter got bitten badly by mosquitoes. She always reacts with huge lumps. My daughter-in-law asked me to do some Allergy work on her as she was so uncomfortable. I limited my time (sent long distance) to 20 minutes as she is only 6 years old. I use Reiki to send and balance her then did the Allergy/Intolerance work. She was very tired afterwards as I had warned her Mom she would be. The swelling had gone down considerably and she was no longer complaining about how itchy and in pain she was. It is so wonderful to see such dramatic results in such a short period of time. I will send to her a bit today as well. Though it was an allergic reaction it was also an intolerance which has been increased so that she will not react as severely as she has. I love the fact that the work I do can help so many people, including my family deal with tough allergies and reactions. Everyone is different, but improvements are always welcome for families.
