November 2023 Update

I cannot believe that November is almost in the rearview mirror! Where did this time go?

I am starting to work on my Christmas cards. My cards for my cousins in England go out at the end of November. There are times I am not crazy about doing them, however, you do have to do them to receive them!

Jim has had pneumonia in both lungs. He is on a major antibiotic and is slowly getting better. I am happy he is feeling improved as this Friday we are going to the Budweiser Gardens to see the play “Come From Away” I have been looking forward to this for so long, however, I didn’t want to drive to Toronto to do so.

Last night I booked a cabin for us at the KOA in Barrie for the end of August next summer. It has two bedrooms, a washroom, kitchen and living room. It has bunk beds for the kids. It is so close to the two swimming pools as well. This past summer we both had health issues so were unable to travel too far. I am so excited to be able to go to the KOA again. We always have such a fun time there. The Grands thought that they wouldn’t get there again as we had sold our trailer. They are also pretty thrilled as well.

Next July I hope to fly to the East Coast to visit with my daughter and the 4 Grands there. I truly missed not seeing them this past summer. Fingers crossed that this too will work out.

Christmas this year will again be in Barrie with family. I have to get busy and make the almond crescents that my whole family loves.

As always in December I will not be doing a blog. To me, December is family time and preparing the gifts and goodies for this special celebration.

I hope that you are able to celebrate with good friends and family during this special time of year. No matter what your beliefs, be kind to others and especially to yourself. We need to support our neighbours and those who are new to our country. No matter what disputes are going on in this world please send out loving thoughts for resolution. Only through love and compassion can we be better people and help our fellow man. We may not follow a certain philosophy or religion; however, we all have the right to do so. I cannot emphasize kindness enough!

Have a wonderful Holiday Season.

From our family to yours Merry Christmas!

Sue
