My Personal Attitudes of Gratitude

monarch butterfly - gratitudeIn my last post I spoke about attitudes of gratitude.

I have so many things to be grateful for right now. For one, the twins arrived safe and sound on their actual due date July 18th. They are so healthy that they are now at home, 2 days later. I had travelled out to New Brunswick to give a hand before their birth. This gave my daughter the opportunity to rest. With two other young children this was impossible at times for her.

It was a wonderful opportunity for me to spend the time with Ellie & Sam and to get to know them better. I think I have this one story of Thomas the train in my head forever. This was the book that Sam wanted read, over and over again. I didn’t mind as he is increasing his vocabulary. It is fascinating to watch as children learn to speak. You forget how really difficult this could be at times. These are such major milestones for them.

I also felt very excited & grateful to see fire flies again. These have not been seen by me since I was a child where you would catch, then release them from a glass jar. Many of my friends have noticed them in their backyards too. They make your backyard look magical!

I am hopeful that I will see some monarch butterflies soon. This had been mentioned on my blog after talking about the fireflies. I have not seen one yet, and neither have a lot of my friends. I do have a butterfly bush and my friends are looking into having milkweed in their back yards. Send out good vibes for them as their habitats are rapidly disappearing. In 1995 in Port Stanley Ontario Canada I saw a breath taking event of a tree completely covered in Monarch Butterflies. It was alive with all the wings fluttering. I hold that vision in the hope of seeing them revive again. If anyone has seen them anywhere, let me know please.

I was also grateful to have my friend come down to help me thin my gardens/bushes down. It was so hot that we took many breaks by going to Port Stanley for swims. The water (Lake Erie) was amazing and quite clear on the first time there. We had a superb dinner at the Buccaneer Restaurant for perch & fries and of course we also visited Broderick’s for ice-cream in their home made waffle cones. It was a good thing we were working so hard, so we could afford those calories! Besides we swam for an hour+ each day. I know that I am justifying this!!!! But hey it was a mini vacation. I know that I will get right back on track and be able to have the odd splurge here and there, just not every day.

So as the new week dawns I am grateful for the new clients that I will be meeting and connecting with. It is always exciting to be a part of their journey to wellness. These are two of the people that I met at the Western Fair Ground behind the market. Spirituality in You was the organizer of this event. There will be a repeat of this August 10th from 1030-1600. There are lots of interesting vendors to talk to and many creative crafts available too. I hope to be there for at least some of this time in the morning and would love to see you there.

So I will close with saying that I am grateful to all of you who have been so helpful in my personal growth & in my business. Your comments are helpful to me and I do appreciate them.

Sue
