Hello Summer 2023!

This month has been spent with family. Not only did I get to see the Barrie Grands in Barrie, but they had a brief visit here in London. Bella was thrilled as Charli and Kennedy take turns walking and running with her. One tired pup after their visits.

We also got to see my sister-in-law and her family in Kitchener on the way home from Barrie. We haven’t seen each other in over 4 years and it was so awesome to catch up again. A move, covid and many other factors prevented our getting together.  Her Grands are so grown up now. Joel held Bella most of the time we were there. She fell asleep in his arms so was pretty comfortable with him. I miss my brother-in-law John who passed during this time. He was such a remarkable, kind, loving man who thought of his family until the end and even after with loving thoughts.

Work continues on my gardens. My friends and I went to Port Rowan to celebrate a birthday. We had a delicious lunch at the Boat House Restaurant, then shopping in this wonderful little town. I got a couple of birdhouses. I think I have reached my limit of 19 as there seems to be no more room! We went for ice cream at Twins Ice Cream Parlour for dessert. Always a great end to a fun day. It rained but only a light rain. Just getting away for a day makes you feel like you have had a mini vacation.

I have decided to take the summer off this year. Our nephew has a wedding in August and our niece will be coming from Taiwan with her husband to celebrate with her brothers. Exciting times!

Our trailer resides in our driveway for company to use as a cottage. I know the Grands love it.

Hopefully, all the fires across Canada will end. I know the smoke has been very thick at times, even here in London. I feel for all the people, animals, and trees affected by these terrible events. Thank you to all the volunteer firefighters from so many countries that have come to offer help!

Have a wonderful summer everyone. Always remember to be kind to yourself and others.

Most of all have fun this summer!

See you in September!

Sue
