That summer went by so quickly. I had some extra perks this summer of having my grass cut weekly and my house cleaned monthly. Why you might ask?!
Well, I tripped over my hose, landing in the forsythia bush. My gloves, clippers and keys decorated the forsythia bush. I landed on my right shoulder, which though not broken did have a tear on the tendon near my rotator cuff. It is healing nicely!
Unfortunately, I have had to put Wellspring on hold for now for Reiki treatments.

Also this summer we had a budgie around our backyard who befriended a sparrow. They were so cute together. I am going to try to catch it, as are other neighbours in our area. It has been having a blast flying around, however, it will not fare well in the winter.
A friend of mine lent me a cage. Another friend used his 3D printer to make new clips for the cage. Fingers crossed we will be able to catch it. Either way, this beautiful bird has had a wonderful adventure.

We went to our nephew’s wedding in Cambridge at the Butterfly Conservatory. His sister and her husband stayed with us in our trailer for several days. They travelled from Taiwan to be at the wedding. Her twin brother was the best man.
The wedding in the Butterfly Conservatory was amazing with tropical plants, butterflies, quail and other birds. It was truly magical.
The reception was in the banquette room. The food was delicious and the wedding cake melted in your mouth.
Jim and I had both lost some weight for this wedding. My goal was to get into an outfit I absolutely loved. Mission accomplished! What a memorable day seeing family.

This past week my daughter-in-law Shea drove me to visit my brother and his wife in Brockville and my sister-in-law in Quebec. My arm was not up to me driving that distance. The Grands were with us. We all had such a fun time.
I had not seen my relatives for over 4 years. I missed the hugs but did get caught up. Lots of walking was done. We saw an incredible railway tunnel that showed multiple colours going along the walls. It was so beautiful. The kids enjoyed a caboose on-site as well.
We walked along the St. Lawrence River. My brother’s new place overlooks the river and we saw some very big boats passing by. As always the meals were spectacular as was the hospitality. The kids had fun with art with my brother’s wife who coached them.

We then headed to the Laurentians in Quebec. My sister-in-law showed everyone where she used to live right on the lake. A deer greeted us there. We enjoyed many artistic displays along the river near her new home, which also had some rapids. A huge playground was there and the Grands took full advantage of it.
The next day they went to Santa’s Village for the day while Louise and I got caught up. We went to the market and got wonderful food for supper. There were plenty of desserts to be had. I am totally a fan of desserts! I took some treat days from Noom so I could fully have a holiday.
I bought a piece of art that I truly loved. It was a wooden heart with a crack in red and stitches to hold it together. It reminded me of my years as a nurse and also as a Reiki therapist. Love it.

I hope that you also had a wonderful summer with your families. This week of heat is glorious as the summer is winding down.
Take the time to visit friends and family and get those hugs in. Nothing makes you feel better than a hug!
Until next time!
Sue
