Valentines Day has come and gone, I hope you enjoyed the day. My husband and I enjoy everyday so we share cards together. Throughout the year we give each other little gifts that we know the other will appreciate. However you spent that day, I hope you thoroughly enjoyed it.
We have been working through the grief for our dear friend. It is not quite as painful except when there are moments when you wanted to share something with him. I know that in time, as it was with my parents, it will get easier.
We had my son, daughter-in-law and grandbabies down overnight last Friday. What a joy it was to see everyone again. The girls are 3 and almost 6. Time flies and they get more incredible every time we see them.
This month the Olympics have me enthralled. I so appreciate our Canadian athletes. All of them are truly amazing whether they achieved a medal or not. One courageous woman had a broken arm, yet still went down the halfpipe! Many other athletes have gone through surgeries to get to the Olympics. For example Mark McMorris who in March 2017 hit a tree while snow boarding. He broke his ribs, left arm and pelvis. He also ruptured his spleen and had a collapsed left lung. Last Saturday he won a bronze metal!
How about those bobsledders, or our gold in the team skating AND how about Tessa and Scott? Magical moments that I will remember for a long time. The Germans congratulating the Canadian Bobsledders as they tied them for gold! These are values that would be great for us all to emulate showing true sportsmanship.
These athletes never gave up in their pursuits of the big picture. What if we did the same for our dreams and goals? How exciting would it be to achieve something we have always wanted but perhaps were too afraid to give it a try?
Athletes make it look so easy and yet they have spent years getting to this point. They did it one step at a time or one fall at a time. Like a toddler that falls many times before they learn to walk and then run. It is all a process. Without taking that first step, it would not have happened. We are mostly walking adults so we took those first steps when we were little. Try again now if there is something you wish to pursue. Ask for help along the way. Get a coach or mentor or a group that supports your goals. You never have to do this on your own.
As you know, I have a home business called Reiki & Allergy Corrections by Sue. I have been providing holistic therapies for years out of my home office, but now I have expanded to include working at “All Things Holistic” at 122 Dundas Street every other Friday. March 2nd is my next time. It is located with Uber Cool and Nemue’s Closet.
I thoroughly enjoy offering free mini-treatments to those who have never tried Reiki before. I also do complete sessions there. Appointments can be booked at 226-213-6634. I am there from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. My home office for bookings is 519-668-2369.
I so look forward to meeting you and helping you on your journey to wellness. Feel relaxation engulf you as you totally relax. Pain dissipates and balance is restored to your body so that it can help keep you well. Our bodies are amazing as they work to keep us healthy.
