Allergy Season has Begun!

flowers - Allergy SeasonWow April is here. Not so much Spring! I hope that you are able to enjoy some of the few warm days interspersed with the snow and 0 degree temperatures. It sure makes you happy to have the sun shining, in between the rain and snow. The spring flowers are starting to show up in spite of all this. A few warm days now, so do we dare hope it is going to stay???

At this time of year allergies start to rear their heads as the pollen from trees and grasses start to spill into the air. Do your sneezing, coughing and itchy eyes begin now? Do you love the flowers of spring, but also dread the beginning of the allergy season? I know how you feel, as I have totally been there.

Not only did I get these symptoms, but I also got the migraines in the fall. Winter with its cold weather was my only reprieve. I would live on antihistamines and cortisone inhalers to try to make it through. In the fall the pain medications would begin, stronger ones when migraines occurred. There were days of resting in a dark room, not moving for fear of my pounding head returning. My pillow felt like a brick.

So why am I telling you all this? I decided to do something about it, and learned how to deal with my allergies and reactions to them. From Jimmy Scott PhD., I learned many physical symptoms of allergies that you don’t typically think of e.g. bloating, indigestion, arthritis, (and 5 more pages of them!) It was an intensive course. His book “Cure Your Own Allergies in 5 minutes” helped me along the way.

He also discussed the difference between allergies and intolerances. He found, “An allergy was a disturbance of the normal flow and balance of energy within the body when it is exposed to a given substance.” This energy is called Chi in Chinese and Ki in Japanese. Intolerance is the body’s reaction to an overloading of the system with more of a substance than it can handle, in other words it is a disturbance of the body’s metabolic/biochemical state.

I also studied with David Rowland who taught the Universal Technique which uses mind-body healing. He stated, “Every physical ailment has a mental-emotional component that causes it, aggravates it, or prevents it from healing.” So through the use of energy, allergies and intolerances can be decreased significantly.

So this has been a twenty-six year journey for me. Last summer 2012, in London Ontario, was a particularly bad summer for allergies. I successfully cleared any remaining allergies to airborne grasses, pollen, etc. I did not use any antihistamines, nor did I use cortisone inhalers. I also had no major headaches or migraines in the fall, nor have I had migraines for years.

This month I have been helping a woman in California to clear up many of her symptoms of hay fever i.e. red, runny itchy eyes, sneezing, coughing, headaches and having severe nasal congestion.

Please visit services and testimonials from satisfied clients. One client in particular was severely allergic to cats (eyes swollen & itchy, reddened hands with swelling if he touched a cat, etc.) After one treatment over 12 years ago he has two cats on his bed at night with no reactions.

I would love to help you, whether you live near or far, with your allergy symptoms so you can enjoy this spring, summer and fall. I look forward to hearing from you and helping you with any questions you may have.

Here’s to your journey to wellness.

Sue
